Facebook Page

Well, I think it's safe to say that this here blog is neglected.

Thing is, life is so fast and hectic (and I mean everybody's in general) that finding the time to write and read blogs is a bit tricky. I'm not writing the blog off totally. I expect I will blog from time to time but it won't be a regular occurrence.

If you'd like to make sure you keep up to date with all things Beads By Laura then your best bet is to look at my Facebook page. You don't need a Facebook account to view it and you'll find that there's a lot more happening over there than there is here.

'Storm Cloud'

Lampwork Glass BeadsThese 'Storm Cloud' beads were inspired by the weather over the past few days. It's been constantly raining and very grey and dismal. But this morning, when I made these, the sun was shining and it's been a really lovely day.

I took the photo in the late afternoon sun so I've got a bit of weather conflict happening here - storm clouds in the sun, but hey, juxtaposition is always good. And I love the word 'juxtaposition' so any excuse to type that is fine by me.

My favorite quote by an English professor of mine:

"(the author) was a master of the juxtaposition of ironic situations"

Love the beads too!

No storm clouds here in Hastings, just sunshine and fluffy clouds the last few days, but the beads are really beautiful though!

Lovely beads, Laura. We had so many showers yesterday here in Lincolnshire that when the sun finally came out, there was a gorgous rainbow, tried to get a photo but it doesn't do it justice.

Thanks everyone! I've got more beads cooking away in the kiln which I'll post photos of later. It's so nice to NOT be making cupcake beads!
